1. Savannahs Preserve State Park

Located in between Fort Pierce and Jensen Beach, this beautiful park offers you an unmatched experience amidst an array of indigenous trees, plants, and wildlife. The trail, which spans a bit more than nine miles, makes its way through pine and scrub flat woods, marsh lakes, and the endangered sand pine scrub. While relishing your magnificent surroundings, keep an eye to the sky for the occasional eagle soaring and be on the lookout for Florida alligators that enjoy sunning themselves in the afternoon.

2. Jonathan Dickinson State Park

This lovely Martin County park is located in Hobe Sound, just north of Jupiter. Here, you’ll enjoy a wonderful sense of relaxation as you ride along eight miles of trails that are connected and color-coded for your convenience. There are campsites, tie-out posts, and a full-service restroom.

3. Robbins Vista View

A scenic ride through the Imagination Farms community in Davie, this nine mile trail is perfect for riders of all levels and. Located among 160 acres of pastures and hardwood hammocks, this destination is equipped with an equestrian facility and gazebo. On the western end of the trail, you’ll find yourself in Vista View Park, where many folks gather to enjoy a picnic, play sports, and participate in many other recreational pursuits.

4. Historic Jupiter-Indiantown Trail

Enjoy the natural splendor that surrounds you as you ride along this two mile trail through Cypress-Creek. Numerous amenities include horse-trailer parking, a shady shelter, and a pitcher well pump. A work-in-progress, this trail is being expanded in phases and will soon offer even more miles of trail riding.

5. Peaceful Ridge Trail

Beginning at Robbins Lodge and Natural Area in Davie, the Peaceful Ridge Trail is framed by Australian Pines and makes its way through various shady, scenic areas. Although you will be traveling through several residential blocks, you’ll find the trail’s name suits, as the ride is quiet, tranquil, and pleasant.

6. JW Corbett Wildlife Management Area

If it’s solitude you seek, this sprawling natural area made up of numerous trails just northwest of West Palm Beach is for you. Spanning 108 miles, the JW Corbett Wildlife Management Area also is known for its abundant wildlife viewing opportunities.

7. Picayune Strand State Forest

Just a couple of miles east of Naples in southwest Florida, in the midst of the big cypress basin, this state forest offers an enthralling experience for equestrian enthusiasts of all levels. Here, 22 miles of beautiful trails provide a relaxing ride and treat you to a view of many animals that make the area their home. Ten paddocks, non-potable water and an equestrian camping area are also onsite.
